The Afonso cabinet features a beautifully intricate marquetry inlay that depicts a tribute to the notable artist M.C Escher, as well as elegant bronze handles modelled after wheat branches. Marquetry is a technique as old as art itself, where veneers are delicately layered to create natural designs.
